1. English Language Proficiency Tests
All the students or professionals, who are looking forward to getting admission in any foreign university, need to prove their expertise in English. Students are advised to take these tests at least two months before applying for the foreign universities.
Most of the universities across the globe require documents stating your proficiency in the English Language. This is a mandatory admission process of almost all the universities for students seeking admission in various courses.

Before appearing in any of the three tests, students must check which of the tests is accepted in the university that they wish to apply. This will help the students to prepare for the specific test and start the application process.

2. Academic Standardized Tests

Students need to prepare competently for these exams to achieve a decent score for an affirmative admission route. These tests assess the student’s verbal ability, quantitative reasoning skills, and logical thinking.
Note: GRE and GMAT scores are required when applying for graduation courses whereas SAT scores are required for undergraduate applications. Your previous academic performance along with high GRE/GMAT scores can help the students to get scholarships.
Analyzes your reading, listening, speaking, and writing capabilities in a span of less than three hours. The IELTS test has to be completed in total of 2 hours and 45 minutes.
The reading, listening, and writing sections in the IELTS test have to be completed in a single day without breaks. However, the speaking section has the flexibility of being completed one week before or after the other tests.
Note: There are two different types of IELTS tests – Academic & General Training.
The TOEFL iBT test is comprised of listening, reading, speaking, and writing. This computerized test with four sections has to be completed in 4 hours.
All four sections are timed with 20 minutes dedicated to speaking and 50 minutes for writing.
The test accesses your skills in speaking, writing, reading, and listening. These skills are distributed in three parts namely Speaking & Writing, Reading, and Listening.
A total of three hours is provided to the candidates with an optional break of 10 minutes between reading and listening sections.
Note: The PTE tests are conducted 6 to 8 times in a month all through the year. Candidates wishing to give PTE exams can schedule the test just 24 hours in advance.
